Successful launch for the Amsterdam Pass


Explore Amsterdam’s many attractions has become easier and more convenient than ever with the launch of the Amsterdam Pass (www.amsterdampass.com), a multi-attraction package that can be downloaded directly to a smartphone or mobile device.

Offered by tour operator Stromma Turism in partnership with Leisure Pass Group, a specialist in tourist passes, the Amsterdam Pass provides access to over 30 major attractions, museums and guided tours of the city, bus tours with multiple stops (hop-on/hop-off bus) and boat tours. It also allows you to benefit from discounts on about fifteen other experiences not to be missed during a stay in Amsterdam.

Offering maximum flexibility and convenience, the Amsterdam Pass can be used directly from a smartphone or tablet via a unique QR code communicated in the confirmation email sent to the customer. Pass holders simply need to scan the QR code at the entrance of each selected attraction or to participate in a guided tour. Alternatively, the Amsterdam Pass can also be sent by post or collected locally.

The Amsterdam Pass is available in one, two, three or five day packages; fares start at €64 per adult and €32 per child aged 4 to 12 for a day pass. The adult two-day pass is 84 €, while the three-day pass costs 104 €. The Amsterdam Pass allows visitors to save time and money on their tourist activities thanks to significant reductions on individually purchased entrance tickets and priority access.

A small selection of Amsterdam’s must-see attractions:

– Rijksmuseum – A national treasure with over 8,000 works of art that trace the country’s long history and rich culture. This museum houses masterpieces from the « Golden Age » of Dutch painting including the famous paintings by Rembrandt, Hals and Vermeer. Normally 17.50 € per adult, admission to the Rijksmuseum is included in the Amsterdam Pass.

– Hop on-Hop off Bus Tour – A perfect introduction to Amsterdam! Discover the main sights and attractions of the city with a personal audio guide on board these buses with multiple stops. Normally at the price of 26 € per adult, the « Hop on-Hop off » bus tours are valid for the entire duration of the Amsterdam Pass.

– Johan Cruijff Stadium Tour– Football fans will not miss the visit of the stadium of the great European football team, AFC Ajax. They can access the changing rooms, admire the trophies collected at the Museum of Renown and enjoy a unique view of the field. Normally 16,50 € but included in the Amsterdam Pass.

– Hop on-Hop off Boat Tour – Bus boats are another pleasant way to discover the city and some of its emblematic places at your own pace, such as Anne Frank’s house or the lively Albert Cuyp market. Normally at the price of 26 € per adult, « Hop on-Hop off » boat tours are valid for the duration of the Amsterdam Pass.

– A’DAM Lookout – 360° panoramic view of the city and its surroundings on this flat roof. Normal price € 13,50 included with the Amsterdam Pass.

– Rembrandt House Museum – This impressive museum, which was the artist’s home, provides an opportunity to get to know Rembrandt not only as an artist but also as a teacher, entrepreneur and collector. The entrance fee of 13 € is included with the Amsterdam Pass.

– Heineken Experience – Discover the true taste of Dutch culture in this old brewery built by the beer giant! Standard fare of 21 € included in the Amsterdam Pass.

– 100 Highlights Cruise – This hour-long excursion on Amsterdam’s famous canals takes you along the city’s many sights and attractions. At the normal price of 18 € per adult, the cruise is included with the Amsterdam Pass.

The places and attractions offering reduced rates to Amsterdam Pass holders are as follows: Madame Tussauds, the ARTIS Royal Zoo and the Amsterdam Dungeon. Discounts of 25 % are also granted on MacBike bike rentals for visitors wishing to tour the city as residents do themselves.

The use of the Amsterdam Pass therefore enables visitors to make real savings on entrance tickets to tourist sites. For example, a three-day pass at the price of 104 € could include bus or boat tours, the A’DAM Lookout, the Rijksmuseum, the National Maritime Museum, the Johan Cruijff Stadium Tour, the Muiderslot Castle, the Heine.
