News : Louvre Hotels Group thinks about the hotels of tomorrow

Louvre Hotels Group is thinking of the hotel business of tomorrow by opening its first establishment with the « Smart » label Louvre Hotels Group, the 5th largest hotel group in the world, has just inaugurated a new hotel concept integrating new technologies within a completely redesigned customer experience. The establishment, a product of the group’s « Innovation Center », opens in the heart of Shanghai, in the Jing An district.

Louvre Hotels Group is convinced that the hotel of tomorrow must be connected, ecological, safe and a source of well-being, while promoting interaction and the human experience. SmartHotel is a living space where new technologies simplify the customer’s journey to better strengthen their interactions with teams made more available and by facilitating interactions with other travellers.

Hotel Campanile Jing An An Shanghai has been selected to be the group’s first SmartHotel. The Campanile brand has all the assets to support this new open positioning, technological and ecological.

A new kind of hospitality
From the outdoor garden to the lounge area, via the terrace and restaurant, the technology is suggested to meet the individual needs of clients while promoting human interaction.

Upon arrival, the customer benefits from an automated registration office, a mobile room key, or still of a welcoming robot and can, as soon as he wishes, call upon the hotel staff. In the restaurant, the technology is materialized by a simple QR code that the customer scans to track his order, pay his addition or share it.
To stimulate everyone’s creativity and encourage exchanges, the establishment is designed around a auditorium open to the lobby, housing a giant interactive screen. In this space, customers can practice co-coworking, but also enjoy movie evenings or video games in community.

Once in the room, nothing is left to chance to provide a tailor-made experience. The new Personal assistant of the customers is a robot managing all their needs and settings of the room, from from light intensity to air quality to video and audio devices.

Technology at the service of the hotel’s staff
SmartHotel is designed to improve the customer experience, but also to make life easier and more fluid for teams and staff.
Thus, the reception, stewardship or maintenance teams have at their disposal a global application where they will be able to centralize all their actions. A bulb to change, a finalized room, a meal ready: everything appears on the same application for simplified communication and fluidized tasks.

A « Smart » label that can be adapted to all the group’s brands
Because Louvre Hotels Group has always been committed to making its innovations accessible to all customers, all the group’s brands, from economic to high-end, will be eligible for this label.

The group’s ambition is to create a real eco-system of intelligent hotels throughout the world.

« We are very proud of the SmartHotel label, which is the first project to come out of our « Innovation Center » in between Paris and Shanghai. We are starting the test phase on the Campanile Jing An in the heart of Shanghai, and then develop this new approach to the customer journey worldwide and on all our brands. » Françoise Houdebine, VP Marketing Louvre Hotels Group.
