Hoshinoya Guguan will open on June 30 in Taiwan
Hoshino Resorts will open its new Hoshinoya facility in Guguan, a region famous for its hot springs and close to the city of Taichung in Taiwan, on June 30.
Hoshinoya Guguan will be the first hotel in the Hoshino Resorts collection in Taiwan and the second Hoshinoya hotel outside Japan after Hoshinoya Bali located in Ubud.
Located in the heart of the valley, with the mountains as its landscape, which supply the hot springs with clear and pure water, this new Taiwanese address will offer an extraordinary experience to its guests in search of an extraordinary experience.
A design that is one with nature
The presence of abundant natural hot springs in Taiwan’s 3000-metre high central mountain range has greatly inspired the curves, volumes and architecture of the establishment.
The interior and exterior are delimited by a series of mirrors, partitions and transparencies in order to encourage relaxation in each space of the Hoshinoya Guguan. The large bay windows invite vegetation into vast rooms with a minimalist design to allow guests to observe the landscape as the seasons change.
Gardens that invite you to meditate
Outside, guests can meditate while walking along many green spaces that blend into the surrounding nature and then settle in small open huts equipped with futons. The water garden is also an invitation to relax through the sound of the water flowing to irrigate the hotel’s many springs.
The comfort of a private hot spring
Each room has a covered balcony with a private hot spring fed directly by natural springs from the surrounding mountains. The suites, most of which are located on the ground floor, have real private Japanese « ryokans » dug into the ground for a relaxing moment with a view of the panorama but also of the gardens of the establishment.
