President of MSC Spain dies of coronavirus


The Covid-19 is taking another victim in the tourism business. The president of the MSC Spain, Emiliano González, has just died at the age of 69, victim of the coronavirus.

« The sector is losing a manager who is much loved and respected by tourism professionals, » the Spanish authorities said.

Before being appointed president of the company, Emiliano González was for a long time Managing Director of MSC Cruceros in the Spanish market. He was replaced by Fernando Pacheco in September 2017.

Emiliano González joined the cruise line in 2002 as Commercial Director.

Prior to that, he held management positions in various travel agencies, an experience that made him a personality close to the field and highly appreciated by the market.
