What date is Ramadan 2026 ?

For Ramadan 2026 (1447 AH), the predicted dates are now quite precise, although they remain subject to the sighting of the crescent moon on the Night of Doubt. Ramadan is expected to begin around Tuesday, February 17th or Wednesday, February 18th, 2026.

The Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr) is expected around March 16th, 2026 (the 27th night).

The festival marking the end of Ramadan (Eid al-Fitr) is expected to take place on Thursday, March 19th or Friday, March 20th, 2026.

What’s new for 2026 ?

A « late winter » Ramadan: In 2026, the fast will be completed entirely before the switch to daylight saving time.

This means shorter days and relatively early breaking of the fast (Iftar) times (around 6:20 pm at the beginning and 7:00 pm at the end for Paris), making it easier to observe compared to summer years.

New trends are emerging in food preparation, notably the increased use of batch cooking and freezing individual portions (bricks, soups, marinades) to conserve energy and focus on spirituality rather than daily cooking.

For 2026, CSR experts are reminding companies of the importance of dialogue.

While there is no legal obligation to adjust working hours, case law emphasizes flexibility (remote work, staggered breaks) to avoid any form of indirect discrimination.

Donation campaigns (Zakat) are becoming increasingly digital with platforms that allow real-time monitoring of the impact of food parcels distributed in crisis areas.
