ANA announces the appointment of its new Chairman and CEO


All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s number one airline and a 5-star airline for 13 consecutive years, announced changes to its Board of Directors yesterday. Juichi Hirasawa, Chief Executive Officer and Senior Executive Vice President, will succeed Shinichi Inoue as Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2026. On the same date, Mr. Inoue will become Senior Advisor to ANA Holdings Inc.

A graduate of Keio University, Mr. Hirasawa joined ANA in 1986. Within the ANA Group, he has held numerous positions, primarily in strategic planning and corporate strategy.

As Executive Director since 2018, he played a pivotal role in developing and implementing management strategies, demonstrating remarkable effectiveness in guiding the company through the COVID-19 crisis.

He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive Vice President of Ana Holdings Inc., with responsibilities primarily focused on industrial policy, relations with the Japanese government, and economic security. He is 62 years old.
