Since 1 July 2019, the maximum age of eligibility for tourists applying for a Working Holiday visa (subclass 417) for Australia has been raised to 35 years, from 30 years previously.
Holders of a European passport can now apply for a first, second or third Working Holiday Visa until the day before their 36th birthday.
In addition, to promote the Working Holiday Visa, Tourism Australia, the Australian Tourist Office, has launched Australia Inc. a campaign aimed at young Europeans who want to find a job while travelling.
This campaign demonstrates how the Working Holiday Visa is an asset in the career path of these young people, thanks in particular to the confidence, experience and skills acquired that will be useful for them to pursue their careers once they return to their country.
