What is the best place to sleep on a plane ?

Our air experts deliver you their secrets to sleep well on board a plane.
Aircraft personnel are the first to notice how difficult it is for passengers to fall asleep.

Reverse psychology: don’t take a flight hoping you can sleep.
First golden rule: convince yourself that we are absolutely going to sleep is not the right solution, pressure is the enemy of falling asleep, assume that you will not manage to fall asleep and watch instead all the films you have not yet seen.
Maybe you’ll wake up when you land.

Choose a window side seat.
The window seat is the best place to rest your head and therefore have a better chance of falling asleep.

Dress comfortably.
Loose clothing is preferable. Indeed, in high altitude, we undergo the effect of depressurization, our bodies swell and this can be uncomfortable when we are not used to it. Some airlines even offer a solution to the problem: they offer pajamas and slippers to passengers. To promote sleep, the hostess Michelle Lazzaro advises to bring a pillow for the neck and a blindfold for the eyes.

Feed yourself well.
It is not recommended to take salty snacks and alcohol, it increases swelling. Instead, take a herbal tea that is often offered during long haul flights.
