The 1st Modern Magic Festival in the Maldives

Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort & Spa has announced the first edition of the international festival of modern magic on the enchanted island of Villingili.

The first of its kind in the Maldives, the festival will take place next July where adults and youngsters will see magicians present two shows a week on the immaculate sands of Villingili, accompanied by daily magic at their table where the magic trick will take centre stage.

Located in the southernmost atoll of the Maldives, with only the Indian Ocean separating the island from Antarctica, there is certainly something magical in this luxury establishment literally located at the end of the world.

From July 1 to 31, 2018, five magicians will showcase the hotel’s unique atmosphere through a series of traditional tricks, illusions and more unusual modern mentalism that will dazzle guests.

Throughout the month of magic, customers can enjoy the package « Magical Maldives » of the hotel, which includes daily magic shows in all the restaurants, as well as than a dazzling show that brings together all the artists.

The package also offers a dinner Magic Box » as part of Shangri-La’s exclusive Dine By Design program, where chefs prepare unique menus served in original places on the island.

Dinner « Magic Box will focus on innovative food illusions and delicious surprises served in unusual and creative ways. In addition, customers can enjoy a magical treatment at CHI, The Spa, an isolated sanctuary with its own thermal village within the hotel.

The treatment uses oils from Ayurvedic Dosha plants, known for their incredible healing powers that have a soothing effect on the body and the mind, and that release all the toxins and stress accumulated.
