TAP Air Portugal inaugurated its new route from Lisbon to Conacri with three flights per week on Wednesday 3 July 2019.
TAP Air Portugal flights depart Lisbon on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 19:15 and land in Conacri at 22:55. In the opposite direction, departures from the Guinean capital are at 23:45 on the same days and arrive in the Portuguese capital at 05:10 (local time) the next day.
Conacri is one of the major urban centres in West Africa, where the ideal is to let yourself be carried away by the somewhat chaotic spirit of the city.
Not far from there, it is easy to find real paradises. The Los Islands – from the Portuguese « Ilhas dos Ídolos » – are the easiest option to escape urban chaos.
In an almost wild state, the islands offer landscapes that include green forests and incredible beaches.
With the launch of this new route to Africa, TAP Air Portugal is integrating a total of 17 African cities in 11 countries into its destination network : in addition to Conacri (Guinea), Luanda (Angola), Maputo (Mozambique), S. Tomé (S. Tomé and Principe), Bissau (Guinea-Bissau), Praia, Sal, São Vicente and Boa Vista (Cape Verde), Marrakech, Casablanca, Tangier and Fez (Morocco), Dakar (Senegal), Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), Accra (Ghana) and Lomé (Togo).
As a result, TAP Air Portugal maintains strong expansion and growth in all the markets where it operates. In 2018, the African routes operated by the airline recorded a considerable increase in the number of passengers, with 116,000 more than in 2017, for a total of 1.1 million passengers, an increase of 11.2 % compared to the previous year.
