Acquisition of Anahita: Sunlife strengthens its position in the luxury sector

The Mauritian hotel group Sunlife is consolidating its position as a major player in the Indian Ocean. Since last July, the company has marked a key milestone in its growth by taking over management of the Anahita Golf & Spa Resort and Anahita Golf. This strategic acquisition strengthens the group’s high-end offering, particularly in the golf segment, and creates new synergies with its existing properties.

This new momentum is supported by excellent results in the French market, which confirms its strategic role.

« Over the past fiscal year (from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025), France recorded a growth of +5% in overnight stays and +8% in revenue, » says Yann Lloret, Director for France.

Summer 2025 was particularly remarkable, with a +25% increase, demonstrating Mauritius’ attractiveness even in the low season, thanks in particular to family incentives such as the 5=7 and free children’s stay.

The positive trend has continued at +4% since July.

In 2026: A double anniversary and a unique residential offering

2026 promises to be a pivotal year. The group will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its iconic establishment, La Pirogue (a West Coast icon), as well as the fiftieth anniversary of the Sunlife group as a whole.

Throughout the year, the group’s legacy will be celebrated with festivities, exclusive experiences, and offerings focused on Mauritian culture, gastronomy, wellness, and golf.

At the same time, the accommodation offering will expand starting in November 2026 with the launch of a new residential formula at La Pirogue.

This will offer 45 apartments and penthouses, an ideal format for families seeking both the independence of a residence and the quality of hotel services.

François Eynaud, Chief Executive Officer, expresses his confidence: « We are facing the future with confidence. The French market remains strong.

Our new features enhance the customer experience, and we are continuing our sustainability initiatives in line with the country’s ambitions. »

A professional week that ended in a festive manner for the Sunlife teams at IFTM Top Resa 2025, which culminated in a prestigious event at the Buddha-Bar Paris with numerous guests.
