The beautiful elephants ride

After Algeria’s tight Round of 16 match, Ivory Coast cruised to victory on Tuesday. The Elephants made things easy for themselves by taking a 2-0 lead after just half an hour against Burkina Faso, and Bazoumana Touré completed the rout late in the game (3-0).

The Ivorians will face a tough challenge in the quarter-finals of this 2025/2026 Africa Cup of Nations as they take on Egypt on Saturday evening.

Ivory Coast, the defending champions, qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Burkina Faso on Tuesday in Marrakech.

The Elephants will face Mohamed Salah’s Egypt in the next round on Saturday in Agadir, where all the title contenders will be competing in a bracket full of enticing matchups.
