Oman launches its new e-Visa for short stays

The Sultanate of Oman offers tourists a new type of electronic visa but is reducing the validity of its e-Visas… Since last week, Oman offers tourists wishing to visit the country for a short stay, a new type of electronic visa: the e-Visa valid up to 10 days (26A Tourist Visit Visa).

This recent e-Visa, which therefore allows travellers to stay in the Sultanate for up to 10 days, costs 5 Omani rials (∼ 12.00€) and therefore complements the already existing offer of electronic visas: the e-Visa 26B Tourist Visit Visa single entry valid up to 30 days and costing 20 Omani rials (∼ 45.00€) and the e-Visantry 36B Visit Visa Multi-E 1 year valid 1 year for professionals and whose price is 50 Omani rials (∼ 111.00€).

The implementation of this new tourist product is unfortunately accompanied by a correction of the validity of e-Visas…

Indeed, initially valid 6 months from its approval to carry out its stay in the Sultanate of Oman, electronic visas now require to arrive in the month following its issuance.

Be careful not to apply for your visa online too early, as it is issued in a maximum of 2/3 days, it is advisable to prepare your application online twenty days before your arrival.

As a reminder, since 21 March 2018, the e-Visa has become the only means of obtaining a visa, the authorities of the country having decided to cancel its issue on arrival or at consular representations.

Action-visas offers many services in collaboration with embassies and consulates in many countries. Prices, forms, documents and visas are available on www.action-visas.com
