The AirlineCheckins application automatically records a traveller’s reservation, taking into account personal data, such as seat preference. The service works with Lufthansa and also with over 200 airlines, offering online booking from a single account. With this new application, travellers can now track the status of their bookings in real time. Personal information, such as seat preferences, loyalty programs or travel partners, can be updated directly in the application.
The application also has an alert function intended to inform the passenger, in real time, about his flight or a possible change of door. Subsequently, the functions will be expanded and extended to additional services.
AirlineCheckins was developed by the Lufthansa Innovation Hub based on feedback from some 2,500 users. The next step will be the evolution of the application: services, such as a subscription for airport lounge access or free Wi-Fi connection on board, are currently being planned.
Also a solution for companies
AirlineCheckins also offers a solution for companies. Thanks to a new programming interface (API), the recording solution can be easily integrated into business travel management systems. This means that the company’s employees are automatically booked for all their business trips. The first B2B partnerships were established with online travel agencies and a major consulting firm. Integration makes sense for all companies whose employees travel regularly. For more information about AirlineCheckins as an enterprise solution, please visit www.airlinecheckins.com/business
