Lufthansa plans to cancel about 100 domestic flights a week next summer, citing rising airport taxes and government fees, which would render several German routes unprofitable, CEO Carsten Spohr told Welt am Sonntag. “Without reducing the impact on the airport, further cancellations will be inevitable,” Spohr said, adding that domestic operations in some regions are no longer profitable due to costs doubling since 2019. Routes currently under consideration include Munich-Münster/Osnabrück and Munich-Dresden, both of which are loss-making daily. If canceled, Münster/Osnabrück Airport would lose its last Lufthansa connection to an international hub. This decision follows a similar one by Ryanair, which announced a 10% reduction in its winter schedule in Germany, eliminating 800,000 seats and 24 routes due to high operating costs.

The return flight from Las Vegas will start at 5:50 p.m., arriving in Paris the following day at 1:05 p.m. This seasonal route will operate throughout the 2026 peak season, with a flight time of approximately 11 hours.

Once eligible, these benefits remain active through the end of the current calendar year and the following year. Currently, eligibility for benefits is based on a rolling 12-month period.
