Jamaican superstar Chronixx headlines World Creole Music Festival 2018

The Dominica Tourist Office has just unveiled the programme for the 20th edition of the World Creole Music Festival. A major event on the Caribbean music scene, WCMF also announces the return of Dominica to the tourist scene following Hurricane Maria in September 2017.

Open to reservations since the beginning of this year, the whole island has mobilized to welcome visitors again and be operational as quickly as possible. Operation successful!

Jamaican reggae star Chronixx will be there. Other artists on the program this year include Soca Stars, Machel Montano and Kes the Band. Other references of Creole music will be present as dancehall artists Mavado of Jamaica, or zouk specialists Jean Marc Ferdinand, Francky Vincent and Strephane Ravor.

Midnight Groovers, Signal Band, Triple Kay, Mizik a Nou All Stars and singer Dominiquaise Asa Banton will also be there.

In addition, the World Creole Music Festival is one of the highlights of the 40th anniversary of Dominica’s independence.

As a reminder, the festival will take place from October 26 to 28 at Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau. Two important dates for the island and a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover its natural and cultural attractions.
