Delta Air Lines has just unveiled its new generation of « Distinctly Delta » uniforms, comprised of four distinct collections produced by Lands’ End. Every detail, from pocket placement to fabric selection, was designed in collaboration with Delta’s 65,000 uniformed employees working in customer service at airports, onboard, and in technical operations.

This new line reimagines what it means to « be Delta, » combining traditional colors (navy, burgundy, and red) with a vibrant new pink that pays homage to Delta’s long-standing partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Each piece meets OEKO-TEX® Standards for safety and performance, and accessories from Missoni and Bombas add a sophisticated touch. Testing of the new uniforms will begin in 2026, with the full collection rollout planned for 2027.

Etihad Airways and Hong Kong Airlines have signed a codeshare agreement that will also include reciprocal loyalty benefits, Etihad announced. Etihad’s Abu Dhabi-Hong Kong flights, launched earlier this month, now carry the Hong Kong Airlines code. Hong Kong Airlines flights between Hong Kong and Japanese destinations such as Fukuoka, Hokkaido-Sapporo, Osaka, and Okinawa now carry the Etihad code. Thanks to the codeshare agreement, customers can book a single ticket for their entire journey on these routes, with a single check-in and automatic baggage transfer.

In addition, at a later launch date yet to be determined, members of Hong Kong Airlines’ Fortune Wings Club and Etihad Guest frequent flyer programs will benefit from reciprocal earning and redeeming features across their respective networks, according to Etihad.

These aircraft are equipped with fully lie-flat seats in the Premier One cabin, designed for enhanced comfort on long-haul flights. This new service confirms Aeromexico’s commitment to the Spanish market.

In addition to existing routes to Madrid from Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, the airline will offer up to 40 weekly flights to Spain during the summer of 2026.

Avianca has just announced its succession plan regarding its governance. Frederico Pedreira will step down as CEO after five years at the helm. The board of directors has decided to create a chairman position, which will be assumed immediately by Gabriel Oliva to ensure a smooth transition. He will also retain his role as chief operating officer.

In addition, the Abra Group, owner of Avianca and Gol, has signed a preliminary agreement to integrate Chilean airline Sky Airline into its holding company. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval to finalize the documentation that will allow the two parties to operate independently.

The group explained that, during the regulatory approval process, users, suppliers, employees, and institutions will continue to interact with each company without change, and that the airlines will maintain their internal and external processes, as well as their sales and customer service channels, as they currently operate.
