Aeromexico announces the beginning of new service to Guayaquil, the gateway to the galapagos islands


Guayaquil is the second destination that Aeromexico serves in Ecuador. Mexico’s Global Airline has had presence in South America for more than 20 years. Aeromexico, Mexico’s global airline, started to serve the Mexico City-Guayaquil route with three direct flights per week.

Guayaquil is Aeromexico’s second destination in Ecuador, where the airline began operations five years ago with its service to Quito, which is now comprised by 12 direct flights from Mexico City per week.

The carrier operates this new service to Guayaquil with Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 160 passenger seats, including 16 in Clase Premier (Aeromexico’s Business Class cabin).

This airplane model feature free mobile messaging so passengers can text via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and iMessage as they fly.
Amelia DeLuca, VP Global Sales Strategy at Aeromexico said, “This new destination is the result of our commitment to continue offering our customers increased flight connection options in South America and from Latin America to the world through our codeshare agreements and alliances.”

Aeromexico has had a presence in South America for more than 20 years and continues to be the only airline offering direct service between Mexico and Ecuador,” she added.

Guayaquil, located on the pacific coast in the littoral region of Ecuador, is known for its bustling port and beautiful beaches.

The city’s combination of weather, warm-hearted people, and history make it an important tourist attraction.

It is also famous for being the gateway to the Galapagos Islands, due to its proximity to these 13 islands known for their amazing array of endemic species and biodiversity.
