Stretching over 7.8 kilometers through the heart of downtown, the Rideau Canal allows visitors to skate in an exceptional natural setting.

Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, everyone can enjoy skating along the canal or simply admire the winter scenery.

Rest areas and cafes are located along the route for comfort and relaxation.

Skate rentals are available for those without their own equipment.

Each section of the canal offers a different panorama, alternating between urban views and frozen landscapes.

The festive and friendly atmosphere attracts thousands of visitors every year.
