From March 26 to 31, the largest island in the Canary Islands will host the Tenerife Bike Festival

The event, which will be attended by 25 travel agents, tour operators and journalists of 10 different nationalities, aims to promote Tenerife as a tourist destination of choice for cyclists.

The Tenerife City Council and the Tenerife Tourist Office are co-organising the Tenerife Bike Festival from 26 to 31 March 2019. 25 travel agents, tour operators and journalists of about ten different nationalities will be present, from the United States to Israel, France, Italy and Germany. The event, which aims to promote the island as the eldorado of cyclists, will include among its participants the president of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation, José Luís López Cerrón.

This festival is a challenge that Tenerife No Limits, the brand of the Tenerife Tourism Office, responsible for promoting sports tourism on the island, has launched.

The event will be divided into two stages in order to allow participants to enjoy both the charms of the north and the south during their stay. The days will be punctuated by a very active agenda in order to get the best possible overview of the island’s offer in the field.

The first few days, participants will stay at the Sandos San Blas Hotel (in Granadilla de Abona in the south of the island), from where they will leave every morning to explore the region’s cycle paths.

The opportunity to meet the different members of Tenerife No Limits, specialised in cycling services (tours, bicycle rental, etc.). In the afternoon, other complementary activities will be planned such as whale watching, tastings of local cuisine or stand up paddle walks on Las Teresitas beach.
