Cameroon: travel agencies soon re-establish the Ebolowa-Ambam-Kyé-Ossi line

21The resumption of cross-border traffic is imminent on the Ebolowa-Ambam-Kye-Ossi axis. The multiple control barriers on this transport line had discouraged some travel agencies, including Buca Voyages, which had simply suspended their activities on this side, claiming police harassment and the time lost due to multiple bus searches on this axis.

Following numerous complaints from the population and the slowdown in the movement of people and goods, the Prefect of the Ntem Valley decided to lift these checkpoints without any other form of trial. From now on, we will be entitled to mixed controls.

The consultation between the Prefect of the Ntem Valley, the four mayors, the four sub-prefects, the Departmental Delegate of Transport of the Ntem Valley and the economic operators in the transport sector, also led to the resolution according to which at the level of the demarcation chain between Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea in Kyé-Ossi, only the customs services are authorised to operate.

For Kheton Anderson Kongue, the Prefect of the Ntem Valley, it is also a question of travel agency promoters complying with the regulations in force within a reasonable time.
