Tourism : Ethiopia is setting up an online E-visa service

In collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines, the Ethiopian Immigration Department has set up a new online E-visa service.

Ethiopia has become more accessible with this new electronic visa service. Simply apply for a tourist visa online by filling out a form. Once payment is made securely ($52 for a 30-day visa, $72 for 90 days), you will receive an email authorization that will allow you to have your passport stamped upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.

Remember that the tourist visa is also granted to travellers upon their arrival at Bole airport by Ethiopian immigration for 50 dollars, but obtaining it in advance online will save you the queue.

A treasure of history and culture, Ethiopia opens its doors wide to tourism. Among the sites to visit are: the obelisk of Aksum, the magnificent fortified town of Harar, the rock churches of Lalibela; the splendour of the castles of Gondar, the mountainous landscape of the Simien National Park with its unique endemic animals (baboon gelada, wolf Abyssinia and ibex Abyssinia).
