Level takes off from Vienna (Austria)


The first LEVEL flight from Vienna leaves today at 16.20 for London Gatwick. The inaugural flight of IAG’s long-haul low-cost brand, LEVEL, will land in London Gatwick at 17:50 (local time), with all seats sold on board an Airbus A321. The Vienna-London route will be served 14 times/week. Subsequently, LEVEL will also commence seven weekly flights to Palma, Mallorca.

Level has four A321 aircraft based in Vienna, from where they operate to 14 European destinations. Each aircraft is equipped with 210 economy seats.

The airline offers ultra-competitive flights, starting at €24.99 one way and with tickets on sale on flylevel.com. To date, over 150,000 tickets have been sold since its launch on June 28.

At Vienna Airport, Willie Walsh, General Manager of the IAG said: « Level is already a great success in Austria with over 35,000 tickets sold in the first two hours of its promotional campaign. It is great to launch short-haul flights from Vienna, and to offer more choice to Austrian consumers, with amazing fares. This allows us to strengthen our presence in Austria, Germany and Switzerland by offering reliable flights at low prices. »

Over the next four weeks, flights from Vienna to Barcelona, Malaga, Venice, Olbia, Ibiza, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Milan Malpensa, Dubrovnik, Larnaca, Alicante, Valencia and Bilbao will be launched.
