What does Marabu, the new airline of the Condor group, want ?

Marabu has established itself as a key player in the air travel between Germany and sunny destinations, most notably Majorca. This meteoric rise is not the result of chance but rather the execution of a meticulously planned segmentation strategy implemented by Attestor, the London-based investment firm that owns the solid and reputable Condor.

Initially a modest Estonian carrier focused on the Canary Islands, Madeira, and Egypt, Marabu has transformed into a powerful operational force with a fleet of ten Airbus A320s and a permanent base on the Balearic island.

This dual positioning allows for remarkable network optimization: while Marabu attracts European tourist traffic, Condor can free up its own aircraft to feed its strategic hub in Frankfurt, dedicated to its global long-haul expansion.

Building on this success, Attestor is no longer hiding its ambitions and is now seeking a strategic partner ready to invest in propelling Marabu to new heights.

The objective is clear: to ensure the long-term viability of this alternative brand, which is establishing itself as one of the few independent options in the face of Lufthansa’s dominance in the German market.

This development project relies on the robust health of its parent company, Condor, which benefits from a restored brand image and a modern, rapidly growing fleet.

Given that the history of German aviation has already proven the viability of secondary brand models dedicated to charter flights, Attestor’s gamble seems more than ever on track to pay off, transforming the Estonian « little brother » into a pillar of European tourism connectivity.
