The TSA is testing remote security screening

To streamline the traveler experience and alleviate traditional queues, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA), in partnership with the Port Authority of Massachusetts (MassPort), launched a groundbreaking pilot program for decentralized security screening at Boston Logan International Airport on Wednesday, June 3.

This innovative system is specifically designed for JetBlue and Delta Air Lines passengers planning to depart between 5:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time): they can now choose to go directly to a remote connecting terminal located in Framingham, Massachusetts.

On-site, customers complete their check-in and pass through TSA security before boarding a secure bus that drops them off directly in the sterile boarding area within their destination terminal at Logan Airport, thus avoiding the stress of the main terminals.

Available at a very competitive price, the ticket for this remote screening service is sold for $9 on the MassPort website, while parking at the Framingham site is offered at the attractive price of $7 per day, providing an economical and stress-free alternative to traditional airport parking lots.
