On the strength of its experience and taking advantage of an expansion of the surface area of its training centre based in Reunion Island, the company Air Austral has been offering a diploma course in the profession of ground handling agent since 15 October last. It will thus enable Réunionese to access training in airport professions directly from the island. Training for the job of ground handling agent will be provided jointly by the Reception and Training Meeting (RAF) and Air Austral teams. The exam will be certified by Aéroform, an organization based in the Paris region, specialized in aviation and more precisely in training for airport professions for many years.
Twelve new features for the Nice Côte d’Azur airport’s winter programme: The winter programme, which begins in November, announces 71 destinations served by 39 airlines and 848 flights per week. Among the new winter destinations are eight new destinations, namely lines created in the summer that become annual and one new line. The latter is Nice Porto, which will be opened on 30 October by Easyjet as part of the strengthening of its base in Nice.
The other destinations maintained in winter are Athens by Aegean Airlines, Riga by Air Baltic, Seville by easyJet, Sofia by WizzAir, Stuttgart by Eurowings, Tenerife South by easyJet and finally Metz-Nancy by HOP! Air France.
There are also reinforcements of lines such as Bucharest by WizzAir which competes with Tarom and Blue Air, Volotea in Luxembourg against Luxair, Tel Aviv with easyJet, Vienna with WizzAir against Austrian Airlines.
At the end of September, airport traffic reached a total of 10.9 million passengers (+42%) or 1.3 million in September (+4%). International traffic accounts for nearly 70% of global traffic and the winter programme should reinforce this trend.

Air Caraïbes links Paris Orly to Nassau up to 3 times a week via San Salvador in the Bahamas or Havana to Cuba. The routes between Nassau and San Salvador or Havana are operated by Bahamasair through the signing of an interline agreement between the two companies. Air Caraïbes is thus confirming its desire to expand its range of destinations on its transatlantic network and to expand its presence in the Caribbean arc.
In partnership with Bahamasair, Air Caraïbes offers a weekly frequency every Thursday on the Paris Orly-Nassau route, based on the San Salvador to Bahamas service launched as part of its partnership with Club Med.
Air Malta has decided to move to the departure hall n°1 of Paris-Orly airport. The new hall offers Air Malta passengers a more pleasant atmosphere, more seating and multiple points of sale, including many shops and restaurants.
