On May 25th, LOT Polish Airlines, Poland’s national airline, inaugurated its brand-new direct route between Warsaw and Porto, making it the airline’s second Portuguese destination after Lisbon.
Now integrated into LOT’s regular flight schedule, popular Western European destinations are generating particular enthusiasm, especially during the summer season when long-awaited holidays and dream family trips finally become a reality.
This new route to the vibrant Portuguese city will operate year-round, adapting to the seasons with five flights per week in the summer—Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays—and four flights per week during the winter.
For the summer season, the airline’s aircraft will depart from Warsaw Chopin Airport at 10:20 a.m. for an estimated flight time of approximately 4 hours and 5 minutes, while return flights will leave Portugal the same day at 2:25 p.m., arriving in the Polish capital in approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes.
While Portugal has long been among Europe’s most popular tourist destinations, Porto perfectly complements LOT Polish Airlines’ offering for short breaks and leisure travel, capitalizing on Lisbon’s popularity, where seat occupancy rates exceeded 86% in 2025.
Beyond the anticipated commercial success, this strategic route will actively contribute to the development of tourism and economic relations between Poland and Portugal, confirming LOT Polish Airlines’ commitment to expanding its network to offer its passengers increasingly comfortable and convenient travel options to major European cities.
