ITA Airways launches its new seasonal routes from Rome Fiumicino to Malaga, Valencia, and Marseille, further strengthening its summer offering across the Mediterranean and expanding travel options for the Summer 2026 season.
The new flights will operate daily from June 1st to September 30th, 2026, offering passengers direct connections to some of Europe’s most popular summer destinations, as well as convenient and efficient connections to the airline’s domestic and international network via its Rome Fiumicino hub.
The launch of these new seasonal routes was celebrated at three inaugural ceremonies held at the airports of Malaga, Valencia, and Marseille, in the presence of institutional representatives, airport authorities, and the airline’s sales teams.
On the domestic network, seasonal services between Olbia and Turin, as well as between Olbia and Genoa, have also been launched to promote even smoother and more extensive travel throughout Italy.
Other highlights of the Summer 2026 season include the launch of the Rome Fiumicino–London Heathrow route, operated twice daily, and the opening of the new direct Rome–Houston route, the first non-stop connection between the two hubs.
The Houston route will increase to five weekly flights from June to September, further strengthening the airline’s presence in the North American market, which is strategic for the development of ITA Airways’ intercontinental network.
In Asia, ITA Airways continues to invest in routes to the region, increasing the Rome-Bangkok service to five weekly flights during August and operating the Rome-Delhi route daily, in response to the growing demand for long-haul travel to destinations of significant tourist and cultural interest.
During the current summer season, ITA Airways is also reinforcing its strong Mediterranean focus with new seasonal routes to Mykonos, Alicante, and Trapani, as well as increased frequencies to Brindisi, Lampedusa, Pantelleria, Palma de Mallorca, and Nice.
Services to Tunis have also been strengthened, confirming the strategic importance of the region for the airline.
