Delivered in late July by the Italian shipyard Fincantieri in Sestri Ponente, the *Explora III*—the newest gem in the Explora Journeys fleet—is currently sailing its inaugural season in Northern Europe, having welcomed its first passengers in early August in the Mediterranean and along the Iberian Peninsula.
Positioned in Copenhagen following a 15-night voyage from Lisbon that took it through Spain, France, England, and Norway, this 70,000-ton cruise ship—with a capacity of 922 passengers—is now sailing the waters of Scandinavia, the Baltic Sea, and the British Isles. It offers, among other options, eight-night itineraries featuring calls at Tallinn, Riga, Visby, Rønne, and Stockholm.
As the company’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered vessel—and being slightly more spacious than its two predecessors launched since 2023—this third ship will begin its transatlantic crossing to Canada and New England in late September. It will then spend the autumn and winter seasons in the Caribbean, sailing from Miami, Puerto Rico, and Barbados. This move signals the continued expansion of the cruise line, which anticipates the arrival of three additional ships by 2028.
