Disneyland Resort welcomes its billionth visitor

As the California Disneyland Resort celebrates seven decades of existence in grand style, the global theme park pioneer has made entertainment industry history by officially welcoming its billionth honorary visitor to its Anaheim complex—an all-time global attendance record.

The lucky guest—an 8-year-old boy from Arizona named Andres Robles, accompanied by his parents, Alejandra and Jose Robles—took center stage at an official ceremony on the platform of the iconic Main Street, U.S.A. train station alongside Mickey and Minnie. There, the family unveiled a commemorative sign proclaiming « Population 1,000,000,000. »

To mark this momentous occasion, the Robles family received VIP treatment, including a dedicated guide for the day and exclusive access to Walt Disney’s highly secretive private apartment, as well as the brand-new « Soarin’ Across America » ​​attraction.

More than 70 years after its historic opening on July 17, 1955, the enchanted kingdom founded by Walt Disney and his Imagineers continues to uphold a revolutionary vision of immersive storytelling shared by adults and children alike.
