[2]The exhibition « Marc Chagall, Intersecting Traditions »:

Dallas likes to put genius artists in the spotlight. Marc Chagall, the Franco-Russian Jewish painter Marc Chagall, who is one of the pioneers of modern art, is one of those who can claim this qualifier.

More than 50 original works by the artist, depicting biblical scenes, are on display at the Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery until April 22nd, 2018. Chagall’s technique mixing engraving and gouache gives these mystical scenes a new dimension full of lightness. Free admission.

Exhibition « Irving Penn, Beyond Beauty »:

Dallas also highlights art photography. The exhibition « Irving Penn, Beyond Beauty », which will take place from April 15 to August 14,2018 at the Dallas Museum of Art, is the first retrospective of the famous photographer’s work in nearly twenty years.

There will be many fashion and celebrity photographs taken for Vogue magazine that have made the artist’s fame, but also lesser-known photographs of nudes, street scenes, or even his travels, which if not also known are just as magnificent.
