New details are emerging regarding the new A350ULR flights that Qantas, the Australian airline, will integrate to serve routes between Sydney and New York and between Sydney and London. The 17,000-kilometer journey will take approximately 21 hours, and in the case of the London-Sydney route, or vice versa, the flights will fly over the North Pole along an unusual trajectory. The flights will depart from Sydney and head north, following the east coast of Japan, crossing the Bering Strait, and then, after passing near the North Pole, south towards the British Isles. This route is expected to be used for only six months.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has extended its sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) program to individuals, complementing its existing corporate program, the airline announced.
