Canadian airline WestJet is renewing its key routes for the 2026 season, with a direct flight every Sunday to St. John’s and four direct flights per week to Halifax (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays), with bookings now fully available online.
To boost business, a sales challenge is underway until the end of November, aimed at increasing sales and rewarding top performers.
At the same time, the airline is undertaking a major refurbishment of its 43 Boeing 737-8 Max and 737-800 aircraft, aiming to make the cabin more aesthetically pleasing, more comfortable, and more dynamic.
A major advantage of this modernized fleet is the completely free high-speed Wi-Fi on board, allowing passengers to stream content via platforms like Netflix or YouTube.
Finally, WestJet demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental sustainability with a « zero plastic » policy on board:
all materials, including cutlery, have been replaced with sustainable alternatives such as cardboard and wood, an effort that extends to France where promotional items (goodies) are made from recycled materials.
